SpeakingEvents

Amy M. Jakubiak, LCSW specializes in teaching and demonstrating the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as tapping. My presentations introduce this powerful mind-body tool to a variety of audiences, from small, intimate groups to large crowds.

The core of my work is showing people how tapping works and, more importantly, how it can be used in their daily lives. The great thing about tapping is its accessibility and speed—it often takes just a few minutes to help calm your mind and body.

At the workshop or presentation, I will :

  • Teach the fundamental techniques,

  • Provide live demonstrations,

  • Work with a willing participant

  • Show how tapping can be applied in real-time.

  • Teach simple energy techniques to calm, energize and more

Tapping's benefits are far-reaching. Beyond providing quick relief from everyday stress and anxiety, it's also a powerful tool for addressing more significant issues like trauma, phobias, and chronic emotional distress. My goal is to empower everyone I work with to use this simple, effective technique to find greater emotional balance and peace!

Amy M. Jakubiak, LCSW

Hello and welcome! I am a licensed clinical social worker and speaker with a passion for helping people find emotional healing. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults dealing with anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, and other challenging life transitions. My goal is to meet you wherever you are and provide the support you need to feel your best.

I specialize in two highly effective, evidence-based treatment approaches: EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). These therapies help you release emotional pain and process negative life experiences.

Workshops and Speaking

As an experienced EFT practitioner, I lead engaging workshops for a wide range of groups, from community organizations to school faculties. My sessions are a hands-on experience, teaching participants how to use tapping sequences to effectively manage stress, reduce anxiety, and overcome emotional obstacles.

I'm ready to bring these powerful skills to your team or business to help them improve focus, resilience, and overall well-being.

Peter Hutcheon, LCSW

Peter has been practicing social work for 10 years as a public high school social worker in the western suburbs. He received his MSW degree from University of Illinois-Chicago after teaching high school English for 3 years in Chicago Public Schools. Peter is well experienced in the special education (i.e. IEP) process along with 504 plans in the secondary school setting. He enjoys his work in supporting families and children around that process. Additionally, his clinical experience has allowed him to work extensively with LGBTQ+ youth, individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and mood disorders. Also, he has a strong focus on working with clients around family dynamics and establishing positive and healthy relationships. For some, looking at this page can be the first step in seeking support for whatever they may need assistance with. Peter exercises compassion towards all people and believes that it is the foundation to his social work practice. He approaches his work to empower individuals to make the decisions and changes that benefit them and allow for their achievement of their own personal goals. He aims to create an environment that allows for individuals to feel that they can be heard while still feeling safe. He is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and uses those theoretical frameworks whenever appropriate and beneficial to the person he is working with. When not working, Peter enjoys spending time with his wife and son, playing his favorite paddle sports (pickleball and platform tennis), and searching for the best thin-crust pizza on the south side of Chicago, where he lives.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among patients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings toward life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
